Come along and share your favourite poem with us.
(Reading from paper is allowed if it's one of your own).
New poets welcome ... and enthusiastic audience of course!
Singing
at the Gallery
Musicians
are welcome to
sit on the verandah of the Gallery & sing & sing, & entice the best singers
of the festival to come join him to entertain you in the most beautiful
of settings.
So
if you fancy a walk up the hill to the gallery to see the exhibition,
or to enjoy some cake & a coffee - check out the music while you're
there & maybe even join in.
Some artists will be programmed to perform at the gallery prior to the
festival.
Gospel
Concert in the Church
Come
along for the Minglewood Mudcats "Health & Happiness Gospel
Concert" with Pat Drummond & some other friends.
Recording
Studio @ At Albans
A professional recording studio will be available for the duration of
the festival, offering a limited number of free demo recordings for anyone
from complete beginners to professional musicians, singers, poets etc.
Multiple pitched & percussion instruments & voices can be catered
for, but due to limited space & sound insulation, drum kits can't
be included this year. High quality sampled drum kits & EFX etc will
be available.
An audio CD of your song or poem etc will be yours to keep.
This service is being provided by Mark Davies. The studio is based in
Parramatta, & is available for all sound recording, arranging &
CD-R production services, including cover artwork & CD-R duplication
& packaging.

Folk
Karaoke
Do
you love singing the classic folk songs? Are you a legend in your own
loungeroom or shower? Flex your talent with the backing of a live band
in front of an enthusiastic and supportive audience, The "mothers of intention"
have chosen many well-loved songs and provide the music, backing vocals
and lyrics while you add your own interpretation. The songs will be placed
on a blackboard style list at the venue and you choose and mark your name
next your chosen song. If you have a favourite song or arrangement that
we haven't included, please come and discuss it with us beforehand. We
welcome other performers at the festival to also have a go and make this
a really fun workshop.
Silent
Auction
This auction is intended
to be for items of a musical nature. For example: musical instruments,
sheet music, poetry books etc.
Sellers: What is a silent auction & how does it work
You bring items you don't use anymore for sale.
You bring the items to the festival on Saturday before 9.50am and you
register the items for sale.
You may set a reserve price or not.
The highest bid at 3.00 pm is the winning bid.
The festival will ask for a 20% commission on the sold item.
Buyers / Bidders
The bidder is a person who wants to bid on an item
A bidder must register with their name, email address, phone number and
be given a Bidder Number.
A bid is made by placing the Bidder Number and Amount on a clipboard that
will be available for each item.
The last bid must be made by 3pm & you must be there to collect &
pay for item.
