Opened in Dec 1996 in a unique building desgined for that purpose and built in Australian hardwood timbers. "Phoenix Rising", a group of painted poles by Ingrid Cullen, an artist from St Albans, is a distinctive feature as you approach the gallery.

St Albans Gallery presents Solo and Group Exhibitions. The gallery has a strong commitment to presenting work by artists of the Region. St Albans Gallery also exhibits works by Aboriginal artists of the Hawkesbury/Hunter. Paintings , sculpture, printmaking, photography, jewellery, textiles, and unique sculptural and functional pieces in wood are shown.The gallery is known for the high quality of works exhibited, and for a warm and personal atmosphere, and a distinctive way of presenting artworks.
